The Letter to the Church of Laodicea

Out of all the letters to the churches in #Revelation, the one to Laodicea might be one of the most memorable. This video talks about why that letter was so important for them and why it's just as important to us.

The letter to #Laodicea had special meaning to the citizens of that city. The water in the city wasn't safe for drinking so they had to get their water supply from #Roman aqueducts. By the time the water got to the city, it would often be #lukewarm so they understood #Jesus' reference well. Laodicea was also very wealthy and #God mentioned that in his message calling out their misperception of self-sufficiency in His #church there. The letter also talks about their blindness - Laodicea was famous for having a school of medicine that came up with cures to prevent #blindness.
